Ecas AG assisted the competition process for a complex crematorium project in Basel. By utilizing its database of construction projects Ecas was able to define macro benchmarks for each of the submissions. High level cost estimates could then be produced and submitted to the jury to form part of the deliberation process.
The final account, which has now become available to us, has proved once again that an incredible level of accuracy can be achieved by utilizing cost benchmarking at an early stage in a projects’ development.
